Creating a Difference this New Year
Dear Friends,
Another new lunar year is approaching, and this is the fourth year Clove&Clive is in operation. Many have turned up to learn and practice the art of mindful living and graciously join us still, in our free sittings and many other activities. In the recent yearly book exchange event, I can’t help but notice the obvious changes in their characters and facial expression. I am sure the practice of mindfulness and integrity are reasons for their upliftment. All of us have grown beautifully, in essence. Gone are the patterns of complaints except residual habits as each one of us takes on the daily task to seek inwards. Peace and freedom awaits us when we are one with ourselves, before we can be one with others.
I am sure as you read this, you could not help but recall what little efforts of mindfulness had served you. If you find yourself tired with the rat-race and are facing internal boredom and meaninglessness, I invite you to come back for a refresher course. You can be sure how a re-learning can bring you back into the pace of the practice again, creating a difference in your life.
I have started to blog recently and it seems to be a daily affair thus far. I invite you to read my thoughts so as to see yourself better. I have received readers' replies stating that just by reading the blog entries alone helps them see their current issues in a better light. We would also like to cordially invite you and your family to join us on the 6th day of the Lunar New Year (Friday 19 Feb) at 9am for the annual lion dance performance by the Chung Hwa Secondary School students in support of fund raising for their school. Feel free to invite your friends along for this merry session!
